Spanish Verbs: Present Participle

The present participle is used to express actions that are continuous or habitual in nature. The present participle in Spanish always ends with -ndo. It is the equivalent of the -ing ending in English. The present participle for regular verbs is formed by dropping the infinite ending (-ar, -er, -ir) and adding -ando to the stem of -ar verbs and -iendo to the stem of -er and -ir verbs.
