French Alphabet

Most of the sounds in the French alphabet can be formed using sounds you already know from the English alphabet. In fact, the French alphabet is almost the same as the English alphabet but not all French letters are pronounced the same way as their English counterparts. Some French letters have accents, which change the way they are pronounced.

The following is an audio guide that will help you learn each of the letters in the French alphabet and how they are pronounced. (Note: Although the letters "k" and "w" are found in the French alphabet they are not commonly used in the French language.)
